Media Innovation in the MENA Region

In partnership with Canal France International (CFI), Pitchworthy.org (under our previous name, AltCity) ran an intensive early-stage media innovation accelerator in 2012-2013, working with media teams from 5 MENA countries, to help them build capacities and improved business models for media in these fast-changing times.

The participating teams came from traditional media outlets exploring new approaches, from small online media outlets in their early stages, and from technology startups specifically looking to support the media sector.

Worldwide, the media sector is going through rapid transformation, as new technologies, new business models, and new trends are disrupting every corner of the media landscape.
